Thierry Souche

After studying engineering in the most prestigious French schools (Polytechnique, ENST), Thierry Souche joined the Orange Group in 1994.
With his considerable international experience, he helped Orange establish the brand in the Netherlands, in the United Kingdom and in Romania as Chief Technical Officer.
In July 2011, Thierry Souche was in charge of the Orange Platform Services, then, in 2012, the Orange Labs Products & Services, a technology organization, located in 10 countries over 3 continents, carrying Research, Anticipation and in-field Deployment projects of services.
Involved in the digital transformations to deliver cutting edge solutions for the retail and business customers, Thierry Souche is currently the Orange Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Orange Labs Services.

Ronan Kirby

Ronan Kirby is Head of NGINX EMEA and an open source veteran, with an accomplished history in enterprise technology. He spent over 10 years working with Red Hat, in senior technical and commercial roles; has helped grow numerous technology companies across Europe and Asia for the European Bank (EBRD), as well as holding leadership positions in a number of other technology companies.

Thierry Carrez

Thierry Carrez is the Vice-President of Engineering at the OpenStack Foundation, helping ensure the long-term health of the OpenStack upstream open source project. He has been the Release Manager for the OpenStack project since its inception, coordinating the effort and facilitating collaboration between contributors. He is the elected chair of the OpenStack Technical Committee, which is in charge of the technical direction of the project.

Thierry spoke about OpenStack, open innovation and open source project management at various conferences around the world, including OSCON, LinuxCon, FOSDEM and OpenStack Summits. A Python Software Foundation fellow, he was previously the Technical lead for Ubuntu Server at Canonical, an operational manager for the Gentoo Linux Security Team, and an IT manager in various companies.

Simon Phipps

Simon Phipps is managing director of Meshed Insights Ltd, providing companies with open community engagement advice. He is a pro-bono director of the Open Source Initiative, the global steward of the Open Source Definition. OSI serves to advocate for, educate about and build bridges within the open source community; of The Document Foundation, stewards of LibreOffice; and of the Open Rights Group, protecting digital rights in the UK. His career has included early engagement in establishing Java, XML and weblogs as computer industry technologies as well as contributions to open standards in a variety of fields. As chief open source officer at Sun Microsystems he supervised the open source relicensing of Solaris Unix, Java and many other software systems.

Diomidis  Spinellis

Diomidis Spinellis is a Professor in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.  He is the author of two award-winning books, Code Reading and Code Quality: The Open Source Perspective, as well as more than 250 widely-cited scientific papers. In 2016 he published the book Effective Debugging: 66 Specific Ways to Debug Software and Systems. He has served for a decade as a member of the IEEE Software editorial board, authoring the regular “Tools of the Trade” column.  Dr. Spinellis has written the UMLGraph and CScout tools as well as code that ships with Apple’s macOS and BSD Unix. Dr. Spinellis is a senior member of the ACM and the IEEE. From January 2015 he is serving as the Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Software.

Gabriele Ruffatti

Director at Engineering Group's Technical, Innovation & Research Division, he is the head of the Big Data & Analytics and Open Source Competency Centers and founder of the SpagoWorld initiative. He has been member of the OW2 Board of Directors of OW2 since its inception. He participates in the Eclipse Foundation and is member of the Open Source Initiative. He has held senior management positions at Engineering Group in the fields of project and product management, software process improvement and design of innovative software architectures. He is an active supporter of various initiatives bringing innovation to industry, research and education.
